We collect a deliberately small amount of information from this website:
- Information you provide. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs basic technical information for every page request, including IP address, user agent, request time, and pages requested. These logs are used for security and performance monitoring.
- No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. This website does not set cookies, does not run analytics scripts, and does not embed third-party trackers. There is nothing to opt out of.
How we use your information
Email correspondence is used to respond to your inquiry and to maintain a record of our communication. Server logs are used to keep the website operational and secure. We do not sell or share information with third parties for advertising purposes. We do not have advertising partners.
Where your data is stored
Email is stored with our email provider. Website infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare. Both providers may process data outside Canada. We use providers with established privacy and security practices.
Retention
Email correspondence is retained for as long as it is useful for our business relationship or as required by law. Server logs are retained for short periods, typically thirty days, in accordance with our hosting provider's defaults.
Your rights
If you are in Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy law, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To make such a request, contact us at privacy@basepointnorth.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Children
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under the age of sixteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
